Schmoyer Land Use Consulting, LLC offers the comprehensive capabilities and deep industry knowledge necessary to help you prepare for the governmental land use processes.  Chris is very well connected and has an excellent rapport with local and governmental agencies and their representatives.

Chris has a varied land use planning background having worked at multiple local governmental jurisdictions in Oregon as a land use planner.  He is quite familiar with Oregon land use laws and Central Oregon zoning regulations and land use planning processes.  Chris has been employed with the City of Bend, Deschutes County and Jefferson County Planning Divisions. Chris also worked for Polk County and Jackson County and the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development.  Chris was a Land Use Planner for the law firm Schwabe, Williamson and Wyatt here in Bend Oregon and  worked in Project Management at St. Charles Health Center.

Chris has considerable experience facilitating meetings and public hearings between governmental staff, politicians and developer’s team of consultants to resolve issues and alleviate concerns regarding projects. We prepare burdens of proof for land use attorneys, engineering, surveying and Architectural firms, as well as construction companies and developers.  Additionally, Chris has extensive experience writing land use decisions for cities and counties as an employee and as a contract planner.

Jurisdictions of interest include the Cities of: Bend, City of Redmond, La Pine, Sisters, Prineville, Madras, Medford, Dallas, Corvallis and Independence.  Additionally, the Counties of Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook, Polk, Jackson, Benton, Marion, Linn, Harney and Lake.

Chris enjoys spending time with his family, kayaking, weight training, restoring and modifying classic cars and hot rods, target shooting, playing guitar and recording original music with his brother Jay.
